Sole Chef

Seasonal

We are looking for an experienced Sole Chef to join a New Build 37m+ Private/Charter MY. This is a seasonal position.



Our ideal candidate is culinary trained with a few seasons of yachting experience, including some charter experience. He/she will be responsible for the overall management of the galley department and cooking for max 12 guests and 7 crew, menu planning and provisioning. The yacht spends a good amount of time in ports were there is good opportunity to provision, however they are also happy to use agents when time is of the essence.



We are looking for an organized and efficient candidate, good with juggling a lot of things at the same time, a great communicator, with excellent problem-solving skills, driven and loves to provide the highest level of service. You are detail oriented and proactive, ensuring jobs are completed to the highest standards. Someone that thrives on being busy and working with a highly professional team that puts crew mental health and wellbeing in focus. This is a yacht with a teamwork mentality, and everyone chips in to help where they can.



The owner likes a healthy diet, often served family style, with a lot of salad variations and fresh seafood, oyster is a favourite however our candidate must be flexible and able to cook high-end food for charter guests.



The successful candidate for this position will have excellent references, experience provisioning in various regions in the Mediterranean and a good understanding of maintaining a budget effectively.

This role requires strong communication and presentation skills, the ability to thoroughly understand guest preferences, extensive food and nutrition knowledge, creative menu planning with an artistic flair but also happy to cook more simple food when asked.



4-6 Charters are booked already so this role is not for the faint hearted, we need a hardworking and enthusiastic candidate that loves to create great experiences for the guest and owners.



Our ideal candidate is an experienced chef that is passionate about his/her job with a cool, calm and collected personality, a great sense of humour and a good banter. We are looking for a down-to-earth candidate who has an easy-going personality, passionate about food and a caring persona.

About the program: MED single season



Required Documents/Certificates: STCW, ENG1, Min. Food & Hygiene level 3.



Requirements for application: Min a few seasons experience in the similar position on the same size yacht, charter experience is a must, good verifiable references.



Salary: 6.000+ Euros + Tips



Other Benefits: To be discussed in interview.
